If the wheels are in too far, the mower deck tends to catch on the rear tires when you go in reverse. So best to set the wheels out some. I have my wheels dished in, but the rims are set as far out as they will go. This setup makes the rear track a little wider than the mower cut (with 11.2 x 24 tires) which you may not like. With the tires set out like this, you get added stability on hilly ground and also minimize the problem of the deck catching the rear tire lugs in reverse. Also, because of the tire problem, you don't want to set the mower lift so that it raises too high. The front tread setup doesn't matter much.
