Most of the H's built before about 1947 except some of the real early ('39's and '40's with 36 inch rims) came with 10-38's on the rear and 5.50-15's on the front. The rear rims may be one of two different widths, some came with 9 inch and some with 10 inch width. Kinda hard to describe the difference in the rims appearance, but the narrower ones have sort of concave apprearance in their cross section from the drop center to the outer ring and the wider ones angle straight to the outer rim from the drop center. Some of the tractors with the narrow rim actually came with 9-38's. But like most of the other guys say, I think 12.4-38's would be the best size for your tractor, anything larger will look sorta "pinched" and the greater diameter will make your tractor look rear end high and somewhat "sap" the pull it has in each gear. Most H's built after 1947 or so came with 11-38's which are the same as 12.4-38's.
