Cubs had 2 different style light switches. The early ones had the fuse in the switch, later ones had a seperate fuse holder which is what belongs in your hole. Assuming the fuse is not blown, your problem is either with the bulbs or with the wiring. If the fuse is blown, look for the problem in the wiring or connectors grounding out. I forget what amp fuse is really called for, but I put in a 10 amp because it was handy and the tractor hasn't caught fire yet. The lights on the early style tractors with the teardrop bodies use 6 volt bulbs, not sealed beams like newer tractors. My local dealer tried to sell me the sealed beams, but the bulb is most likely what is needed on your tractor. E-mail me offline if you need the part number, my manual isn't handy and I'm too lazy to go look for it right now. Ditto for the part numder for the gasket, but I don't know if those are available new or not. The fact that there are repro units out there leads me to believe that someone has them. I don't know if old inner tube would work or not. I sure wouldn't buy new bodies, I'm sure you can repair what you have.

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
