It would be a serious undertaking to put an 86 series cab on a 56 series tractor. When the cab design was changed the seat and controls were all moved forward. That is why the fuel tank is behind the cab. The center frame section was changed to allow cab and clutch mounts (later changed to mounting on the cab) and the axle housings were changed to allow cab mount on them. The auxiliary hydraulic valves were relocated to under the right side of the cab and are smaller in size.
