I would not be to upset other than the higher speed gearing and a little more power no real difference between M and Stage I Super M actually I think the disk brakes were a step down fron M brakes. Any M that has been used to farm with has had more than one engine overhaul and was probaly upgraded. In cotton country we usually had to overhaul engine in 3 to 5 years probaly 4500 to 7500 hours.
