You only need four fittings and one hose. The two smaller (1/2") street fittings are fine but IH used malleable iron fittings and put the swivel on the hose.
The "in and out" of the rear facing work ports on the Christmas Tree make no difference. It will only affect the direction (pull back or push forward) of the valve lever.
You will note that the Christmas Tree valve touches the reservoir. Keep that in mind when tightening the double male fitting into the reservoir. Also bear in mind that the height of the Christmas Tree valve presents problems too.
In situations like this, I always consult the parts books for the layout and the itemized descriptions. Go to the Case IH on-line parts book if you don't have a paper one.
