400--Steering gear case--What lube?

Hey guys

Been patching up the 400 since the accident. Someone mentioned using gun grease in the steering gear but I thought maybe I'd read the book and see what they were suggesting. It says on the lubrication chart that I'm supposed to use 1pt of "Full Strength IH Torque Amplifier Transmission Lubricant Additive". What is this additive? Would just hy-tran work?
