Hey all, I'm having a problem that many have had, the tractor is stuck in gear. I removed the top and it seems to be the shift itself, I read in the achives about the end wearing out, I assume that is my issue too. My question is, what are the gotcha's if any when taking these apart? Are there any springs that will want to fly or anything like that ? I also read that you can rebuild them, what does that involve briefly? there seems to be a pin in the casting that I assume is part of the pivot mechanism for the shifter stick (in the base from the topside), does this have to come out? Finally, just anyone with general advice/comments/tips would be appreciated !
