You must be in the mountain or pacific time zones. D stand for 5000 ft altitude. S stands for TA and IPTO. I would guess your tag is original. Check the rivets. They should be little round headed brass sprial drive rivets. It seems that IH must have had at least two venders make tags. Some look pretty good after all these years while others are totally stripped of every thing but the stamped numbers and letters. This is true even if the tags were made in the same year.
