If the shift fork picture is of the same tractor as the one you are having TA problems with, the oil may be causing your problem. Too heavy of an oil, like 80/90 gear oil, can cause the rollers not to lock in the TA. I would get the transmission cleaned up and get the correct oil in it before I dug into the TA.
