They were produced to compete with the John Deere 4000 which was a stripped down 4020. The other reply was correct on how it was equipped, every one I have seen had fenders(could have been added) and no TA. Not sure of production numbers, this is according to my father who worked for Harvester Company in the Memphis Territory. Many were sold here in the Mississippi Delta, farmers were not inclined to have a "fancy" tractor so this tractor fit in just right.
