char-lynn made kits for the w6 and w-9 tractors, it used an assist cylinder on the drag link, and a belt driven power steering pump. i have a ps system on my w-9. you could prolly engineer an assist cylinder from a combine and add an engine driven pump and be in business. makes a big difference driving em. also check with eaton corporation, they own char-lynn now. there are some add on ps units for fork lifts and such that connect to the base of the steering colum to give assist. one of theose may work out too.
