With respect, this is just not true. The engine design is absolutely compatible with modern oils. THe bearings are made from similar compounds forun today, the seals are all compatible, and the lubricity and stability are far better in todays oils. Old non detergent oils could be from crude high in Paraffin (Pennsylvania oils were) however, they were all mineral oils. There are many good articles and posts on oils in the archives. The idea of putting 90 wt. in a TA equipped tractor is not operational, they do not allow the TA sprague to lock. Hytran it is. Jim Jim
