They have a tendency to do that on the smaller gas starts from what I have seen. My MD is prone to it from time to time. Old injection parts are a bit worn.
The odd shape of the exhaust manifold makes them hard to check but you can feel the injector lines with finger tips. Running cylinders have a stronger pulse due to pressure build up in the cylinder while firing. It will feel more crisp. And do the injector bleeder test.
Also, pull the spark plugs and look for crud. It helps to tell if the starting valves are sealing off. You can pull them while running but it is a bit of a pain.
