Here's a wiring diagram for 12v conversion with a Delco 10SI 3 wire.
Basically:
12v battery
2gauge Positive & Negative cables
Switch to NEGATIVE GROUND
Fabricate some sort of bracket to hold a small alternator, most use a GM Delco 10si which is small and common/cheap and will fit under your hood
Switch the coil wires around for your new polarity. You want the - side of the coil to go to the distributor, and the + side going to the kill switch
Wire in a 1.82 OHM resistor between the positive wire of the dist and the ign switch (Napa ICR13 ballast resistor works well) or swap to a 12v Coil (NAPA IC14 works well)
You will want to switch your Ammeter gauge wires around so it doesn't read backwards

Still another is the alternator. No doubt using the original generator keeps the tractor pure, but for thos
