If you have a rarity, it is far and away the best market for a seller.
If you are buying run of the mill items, create a search alert for that item. You will eventually get a great deal. You need patience. Let me just say you need alot more patience if sourcing parts from swap meets. And UPS is alot cheaper than fueling your own transportation.
I don't care if the schmucks stay away. Most of them don't have money and are out of the market anyway. They dump on eBay to compensate for their ornery tight-wad perspective.
An eBay purchase is totally riskless. I have invoked the eBay Buyer Protection Plan three times this year when items didn't show up, were damaged, or not described accurately. eBay is very good about supporting customer satisfaction.
