It's always a good idea to shut off the fuel to stop an F series tractor. These tractors were designed to be stopped this way. Using the magneto ground to stop it was only for a quick stop emergency. However, It is HIGHLY unlikely that the gas will end up in the oil. The needle valve would need to malfunction and fill the ait cleaner pipe, carburator throat, and entire intake manifold with fuel before it would reach the cylinders and end up in the oil. In addition, there is a valve on the bottom of the carb that allows fuel to run out if the needle valve sticks. Don't believe everything you hear.
