With the engine cold, pull the coil wire out of the distributor cap & hold about 1/4" from a metal surface. Turn the switch on and crank the engine. You should see a bright blue spark. If it is weak & yellowish you have an ignition problem. Repeat when the engine stalls to see if there is a difference. 3 things are needed to run an engine; strong timed spark, burnable fuel mixture, and decent compression. When the engine quits or won't start, look for the missing item.
