It's easy to pull the engine on an A. I unbolted the front wheels and steering from the engine and rolled it out as an assembly. You need to support the tractor at the drawbar since the tractor will tilt backwards when the engine is removed. The engine has dowel pins and may be difficult to remove even with the bolts out. It will be easier if you have a helper and once you get a little crack between the engine block use a big screwdriver to pry. You will need a good engine hoist to lift the engine. I marked all the wires so I knew where they belong and ended up making a new wiring harness. Hal PS: I used a little lubri-plate on the dowels when reinstalling the engine.
