take off the generator and take it to a repair shop they should be able to tell you if it is good or bad and repair it if its bad.the regulator may need to be replaced also- does your regulator have 3or 4 terminals? if it has 3 the bat term.should have power all the time,if 4 term.you should have power at the bat & I term with the ignition on,if you dont have power at both term.w/o the engine running the generator will not charge.
