I would like to thank everyone for the information. I was under the impression that not having a live PTO means the tractor has to be moving to operate the PTO. I am looking for a tractor that I can use to do simple bush hogging and mowing around my farm. I would also like to be able to run a hay mower and baler. The other concern I had was the draw backs of not having a 3 point hitch; however, I think I can get around that issue with a 3 point adapter from one of the suppliers on this web site. I love the idea of working the farm with an old restored farm tractor. Your information seems to point me in the direction that a Farmall "M" would be suitable for the task at hand. Would you agree?
