Robert - Do everything TomH suggests. But also remove the inspection band on the starter and check the condition of the brushes/ commutator. I had the same problem with my Super H - turned out to worn out brushes and a burned/dirty commutator. 4 new brushes ($6 at the local alternator shop) and a few minutes spent cleaning the commutator now has the tractor starting easily on 6 volts. ...Bob M
