First off don't follow the manual, it wants you to pull both the drive and pto shafts (at least the one I followed the first time did).

Start by removing the bolt (allen bolt) that holds the drive shaft to the fly wheel pully.

Then take the four bolts out of the pully which is attached to the fly wheel.

This is hard to do, I most of the time don't remove the allen bolt, but it is easier if you do.

The drive shaft gives some (both up and down and back and forth). This will allow you to squeeze the belt through (just barely) it looks impossible the first time or two you do it, but it is not. (I have either my 5 year old or my wife push the belt through the tight spots while I work the drive shaft from the other side).

The whole proceedure takes about 20 minutes.

I had a terrible time finding the proper belt, I finally e-mailed Gates for a part number (I felt the case/ih belts were way too expenisive $58.00 locally). Gates returned a part number of 527621R1, the Gates number is 7480.

The case/ih part number that my dealer showed me was 527382-r91, and I found that the gates 7280 is the exact same belt by measuring it.

In a pinch you can use Gates 1270 for a short term fix (they will wear really fast, I mowed with them twice while waiting for the answer).
