Edit is not working, so I will give you a short example:

Valves, valve guides, valve springs, valve seats (i need them) parts only: $85 per valve opening. x 8 = $680 and that just does the head.

Rings? $89 a set. x 4 sets = $356

so add in gaskets, I need a connecting rod, and possibly a piston/sleeve and on and on. Won't be long and $2000 will be gone.

I will, however, spend it. over time. I love to make these old girls run again. I could blow the same amount at Disney world (not in this lifetime), and have nothing to show for it except a set of Mickey mouse ears and an empty bank account.
