I dont think anyone can say for certain WITHOUT HAVING THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE CHARGER/TENDER I sure cant sittin here in the dark
BUTTTTTTTTT that being said, some of low amp tenders only supply a trickle charge to begin with at the correct voltage so if its designed for a 6 volt battery but you use it on an 8 volt battery IM NOT SURE IT WILL SUPPLY ENOUGH IF ANY CURRENT TO MAINTAIN AN 8 VOLT BATTERY
If you hook it up and can measure positive charging current flow out of it into the battery and the battery voltage rises a bit THEN ID SAY YES ITs WORKING, but I wouldnt be willing to bet on that absent other specifc info/data...
