Something to do - You won't believe this

I told you about the high RPMs on my Super A, Govenor was ok. Problem isolated to the carb. Last night after work I pulled the carb. The butterfly on the governor rod was gone!!!!!!!!!!! The heads on the screws missing and the whole butterfly gone. No wonder it over reved. Next issue: what happened to the butterfly? Pulled the manifold and not in the ports. Checked the intake ports on the head with my finger and could not feel anything. I cannot imagint it getting past the valves, but I guess I will have to pull the head and see what I can see. Question would you pull the head or figure that it could not have gotten in there? Probibly a dumb question but I am hopeful. Has not been a good summer for the Super A.
