I did the test according to John T's diagnosis(Thanks it was really helpful!) and the Cut out was fine. Now i still have the problem of a 3 position light switch and a 4 terminal cutout, if this wont hurt anything im not worrying about it now. But my question is how involved is it to diagnose the Genny? and if its the brushes, as I'm hoping, will a rookie like me be able to fix it or should i just trust it to a guy who has a lot more experience than I?
