I hate to tell you this but they rate 3 point hitches by pulling strength not lifting. a cat 3 should be pull just about anything you want to put behind it as long as you have the horse power. The lifting capability is determined by the individual tractors hydraulic system and I have even seen some that required front weights to hold the front down with the load. I also saw a fellow break an axle housing trying to pull a stump with one. So my advice is to try loading the dead weight of the backhoe and see how the tractor carries it. I am sure there are people here who will express different ideas so take your pick but they don't rate 3 point hitches by what they can lift. LarryT
