Depends on what glow plugs your're talking about. Ford does not make any glow-plugs. Ford buys them from other companies and sticks them in a Ford or Motorcraft box.
Last I checked most glow-plugs sold by Ford are made by Beru in Germany. Same for the glow-plugs GM and Delco sells.
Many European companies make glow plugs with many amp-ratings, heat times, voltage ratings, burn-out protection, etc. When you want to retrofit into a older tractor, you just need to know the thread size and reach. Then you can have many choices of what you stick in there.
