Another thing to look for when replacing the seal is a wear groove on the PTO shaft. When installing the new seal try and make sure you position the seal on a section of the shaft that hasn't worn a groove. Most of the new seals are a thinner rubber oil seal vs. the old leather type and give you some room for adjustment.
