Rusty Farmall is dead on the money. Those pins sit in a brass bushing that slides into the transmission housing. There is rust and corrosion which have welded them in the place and they are a nightmare to get out when that happens. I had an H like that and it took me and a friend half a day to get one out. We kept spraying penetrating oil down the side of the trans housing and put a long prybar inside the brake pan,as close to the bushing as we could shove the pry bar..we oiled, wingled tapped on the prybar and eventually after several attempts over the day it moved and finally came off. The rust had expanded the tolerance in the hole and vitually clamped the pin in the hole. It took some cleaning with a tiny wirebrush on a drill to clean the hole up,sandpaper and emery cloth, then a new brass bushing and my brakes were working. This tractor had sat outside for many years before I bought it.
