an engine works at a certain air fuel mixture, if you say your pulling the choke back to make it run alittle better that means your restricting air flow , in other words richining the mixture to make it run good, this sounds like you have to adjust the air fuel mix on your carb, try that first before you rebuild your motor and see what happens, iffin the A/F is properly adjusted and you stop fouling your plugs everything might be dandy. but if your plugs are indeed being fouled with oil you do have a problem, you say oil corrosion which really doesnt add up? post a pic of one of your oil corroded plugs.
