Yea, I've noticed that since I've bought 14 Super A's within the last 8 months and NONE of them had the tanks that were supposed to. Since I've been alive (I'm 26), I've never seen a Farmall that we've bought have one. My grandfather said a long time ago he would buy tractors that had them and just throw them away since noone used them and when they'd work on the tractor; they'd take em off and throw em away. He said only if he would have thought about them from a collectors standpoint he wouldn't have done that......but who really did? He did say that there might be some of those tanks in the shop up on the top shelf waaayy up high (thats where all the used parts, junk, etc. are thrown to store out of the way in case we need them later). I guess it might be worth a look to see. I'm wanting one to use as a temporary gas tank while working on a tractor; and also want one to "complete" a nice Super A I've re-done. I just wish I had all of the ones he said he's taken off over the years. I wonder what they'll bring cause if I find more than 1 of them up there, I might sell it. I hope there is at least 1 of them though. haha. THANKS>
