I have a Bn with a Stanley muffler and it is loud. I thought that was normal. Then I bought an A with the original muffler and it is very quiet. I thought it was because the A is now a 12v and the bn is a 6 v. Then after looking at the two I was told all farmall with the original IHC muffler was very quiet. Like you I am now looking for an IHC or an after market one that is quiet also
