The steering wheel is original as far as I know. I just learned about the two spoke wheel a week or so ago. Funny how it's come up again. I would think it is original too. It seemed to be right. I had it off and restored it myself. It had cracks in it like they all do. I filled them in with a generous dose of red putty and then sanded it down and painted it. Came out real nice if I do say so myself.
Do you know of any lower numbers out there? I wonder what happened to 501??
