Where is SPECIAL stamped?Is it where the serial no. is suppose to be?If so you may have a poer unit engine on there or its a IH replacement engine.ALso look at the part no. for the engine.Dont know on the C engine,but on my M engine the no. is ground off and and a different no. is stamped in.Also look for plates and plugs on the block as in where maybe a fuel pump could mount or a distibutor could possilby mount.Thats what the give away was on mine.Also mine doesnt have a serial no or anything where the serial no .is suppose to which I was told by someone here that it was an IH replacement engine.
