I am afraid that is a grunt and groan operation sticking the belt back on. If you are trying to save the old belt for a backup, use a large screwdriver and pry her off. If you can get the fan assembly off, it makes life easier but is not necessary in removing and installing the belts. Just be careful and don't get a finger in the way while prying.
