You need to make a sketch where your rotor is pointing on the mag before you remove it, then when installing the distributor rotate the rotor to the same position as in your sketch and install it. Hal PS: You can also convert your mag to a distributor by using an auto type coil and using the points in the mag. The mag's coil wire needs to be disconnected at the points. You need to disconnect the kill switch that grounds the points on the mag. You would need an ignition switch with battery voltage fed to it and then fed to the coil. If the battery is negative grounded the wire from the switch is connected to the + terminal on the coil and another wire from neg terminal to your points. You may need a ballast resistor between your ignition switch and coil on either setups.
