If you have an 'X' suffix in the tractor serial number, that means a high speed low and reverse. That would not be suitable for snowblowing.
I think there a first gear gearset that is even lower than the standard 460 ratios. For instance, my 504 is very slow in first and reverse. Those gears should swap but I won't guarantee that without doing the research.
