I suspect your carb float is hung up or seized. I have a w30 that does the same thing. It runs until the carb empties. After a couple of minutes the level creeps back up and I can start it again.
you can test this by unscrewing the drain on the carb and putting in a clear hose with a 1/4 pipe to tubing adapter. Hold the hose up and see there the gas level is when you turn the gas on.
Start the tractor and watch the gas level in the carb. If it drops and the tractor dies , you have to work on the float or fuel line. To see if the fuel line or supply is the issue just undo the line going into the carb and run that into a bucket using a rubber hose, for a couple of minutes. If flow stays constant the carb is the problem.
