Unless the implements are a strong attraction it seems odd to me that you would buy a machine so similar but inferior to your existing. On the other hand, it may be attractive because it is "primative". You should be able to date it from a casting number; that info is available here. The fact the owner is afraid to crank it is interesting, isn't it? When I was rewiring my Super C I started it with the crank several times without problem. Either the seller has heard too many stories, or there's something you don't know about that engine! And the crack bothers me too. Guess I would pass that tractor by unless it, or its accessories, would fill a specific, defined need you have. Fred
