The sleeveless C221 most likely came out of a combine. The other difference you will find is the sleeveless block will not have threaded holes in the back of the block. You will need to use longer bolts with nuts.
When changing piston style you have to make sure that your head will work with the new pistons. Early heads work only with the stepped pistons. They are flat over about 1/2 of the piston and then the rest is combustion chamber. The combustion chambers on the later heads start to go up at angle near the edge of the piston and have the necessary clearance for the Fire Crater pistons.
