I don't think the 806 metering stem will work in the W9 carb because of how it installs. The metering stem in a typical Farmall M, W6, W9 carb goes all the way through and is held in place with the metering stem clamp nut.
The metering stem in an 806 carb is threaded up at the top and does not go all the way through.
A "complete" carb kit does come with a new stem, but I don't know if there is such thing as a "complete" kit for the W9. The complete kit for a Farmall M will work, although you may need to drill out and slightly enlarge the holes in the metering stem.
