There is no way a Ford 8n will out pull a Farmall M. A Ford 8n won't pull a 3-14's or 3-16's like a M. My son has a 9n and it's not much more than a riding lawn mower. He uses it to pull a little two wheel wagon to feed his horses and in his garden and has a 2-12 plow and a 5ft disc. When he plows his garden with it , the 2-12 plow is all it can handle in 1st gear. A Farmall M can pull 2-12's in fourth gear @ 4-5 mph. I know, used a M for years to farm with.
