I have fabricated about a dozen starters for f12 and f14 IH tractors. I used old Chrysler parts but cannot get them any more. I switched to Chevy s-10 starter and flywheel. It was tougher to fabricate using the chevy parts as the starter gear was on an angle other than 90 degrees. My basic design had the flywheel mounted on the PTO. I have come up with a new design concept but HAVE NOT PROVED THAT IT WILL WORK. I would be glad to share my experiences and concepts. My e-mail address is dalsfarmallsf12@yahoo.com
