Now that my starter woes have been solved (hallelujah) and I've replaced the fan hub we are in running condition. This thing has set for 2 years before me. I've only had it running (driving) a couple of times and after a few minutes in 3rd or 4th, it seems to me to start loading up or running rich and will stall. Smells flooded. I've also had it die right away kicking in the PTO. I imagine the carb is pretty well varnished up and may well have other issues. This site that hosts this forum offers carb rebuilds. Winter seems like a good time to do it, and carb rebuilds are beyond me. Can anybody give them an endorsement or otherwise advise? Thanks for all your help.
