Wayne, The price is whatever to fools can agree on... A few years age I saw a 15-30 partialy torn down go for $2750 at auction. Shortly before that I bought three 15-30s for and two running 10-20s for less than half that amount. For me the main thing I think of is how much I will have to put into a tractor after I buy it. For example a tractor may bring more money if it is running but if the engine needs work it will cost as much to overhaul it as it would to overhaul a non-running tractor which you may pay less for.
