I just realized today that the two 50 model M's that I have are exactly 7 numbers away on serial number. I bought them years apart and in different parts of the state.
Time sure treated them differently though. The runner is actually the first M and the first tractor that I bought. Has power steering, Lamberts and good tin. The other one I bought more or less as a parts tractor. Has a pretty good sized patch on the rear case. Loose but not running. Had been on LP at one time then switched back to gas. No wheels. Never know what you'll find out there.
