Just some random thoughts on "not starting" but you may have checked all these already. Check point gap and condition -- gap (dwell) affects timing. 6 volt systems require 1/0 cable or better to the starter and ground. Run your ground all the way to the mounting bolts on the starter. Most 6 volt electrical problems seem to be ground problems. BTW 1/0 welding cable makes dandy starter/ground cables at a small fraction of the cost of a special order cable from the auto parts store.
