I'm getting a knocking sound from left side final drive. I raised the tractor, rotated the wheel - no noise. Took final drive off - it spins nice and gears look ok. No noise.
Question is... should the bull gear be tight?
Right now while the final drive is vertical on the bench and tightened down on the axle shaft, there is about .030" side to side play inbetween the bull gear and the spacer.
I can get pics if need be. The I&T manual lacks any kind of this info.
